Using the site without logging in to an account
Country selection
To get access to product pages you will be asked to select the country you are from. This ensures you will only see products available in your country. In addition, product prices will be shown in the right currency.
Product information
Product pages offer a brief description of the product. If additional information is available a red tab will be displayed above the product list at the bottom of the page. This can contain links to downloads or to pages on the websites of our suppliers. Links to other websites will open in a new window.
Prices
Prices displayed are list prices valid in your country. Some products have no price listed. It is easy to request the price by clicking on the “Request price” button. This will take you to a short form where you can submit your name, email address and phone number.
Wishlist
We are aware that many researchers are not able to order through websites. Therefore, we offer you the option to add products you are interested in to a Wishlist by clicking the yellow star next to a product. You can send the Wishlist by e-mail to one or more e-mailadresses. This can be your own e-mail adress, to save the information for future reference, your purchasing department, to inform them of your interest, or a colleague, who might just be looking for the product you found. You can include a comment if necessary.
Please be aware that if you are not logged in your Wishlist will be lost after you close your browser.
Creating and logging in to an account
Registration
To log in you first need to register for a web account. Registration offers several benefits:
After you submit your registration you will receive an e-mail to confirm that we have received your request. One of our employees will then match your contact information with our customer database and link your web account to the correct customer number. Subsequently your account-specific prices will be published on the website. On working days this process should be completed within 24 hours. You will then receive a confirmation email with your password to log in. Your e-mailaddress is your login name.
Account-specific Prices
Logging in will change the displayed product prices into your actual prices based on existing discount contracts with your organization or department. There are some exceptions, however, as listed in the paragraph "Limitations" below.
Placing an order
To order a product first add it to your shopping cart by clicking the cart icon next to a product. If you are done go to the shopping cart and follow the indicated steps. You can add a purchase order number, select the correct shipping address, choose to send a copy of the order to other e-mailaddresses and include a comment. After reviewing your complete order details you submit the order. You should receive a confirmation that you placed the order by e-mail within a few minutes. A final order confirmation with expected delivery date will be sent separately once the order has been processed in our ordering system.
Please note: to ensure you receive order confirmations by e-mail it may be required that you add orders@westburg.eu to your e-mail whitelist.
Product availability
If products are displayed on this website they are available to the best of our knowledge. However, we cannot fully guarantee product availability, as we are dependent on our suppliers. As a consequence, the confirmation of the web order you will receive immediately after submitting the order should not be construed as a confirmation of availability.
Stock program users
Stock program users must be registered and logged in to be able to use the website for stock orders. After login, please go to Products Life Sciences or Products Diagnostics. The right column will show a box that allows direct scanning of stock program product barcodes. In addition, the button “View consignation stock” takes you to an overview of which products are available at your site.
