AcGFP is a distinct green fluorescent protein engineered to provide excellent performance when expressed as a fusion with your protein of interest. AcGFP1 was derived from the jellyfish Aequorea coerulescens - distinct from Aequorea victoria (AvGFP) - and is optimized for mammalian codon usage. It is an equivalent alternative to EGFP.
Because it is a true monomeric protein, AcGFP1 is very well suited for fusion tag applications. AcGFP1 is ideal for multicolor applications in flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy.
