Description

DsRed-Monomer is a newly engineered mutant of our red Fluorescent protein from Discoma sp. reef coral. The DsRed- Monomer is a true monomeric protein and is an excellent choice for use as a red fluorescent fusion tag. It contains 45 mutations in comparison to DsRed wt. Its virtually identical spectral profile to our other DsRed fluorescent protein variants allows DsRed-Monomer to be detected using standard existing filter sets.
