ZsGreen1 has an identical amino acid sequence to our original ZsGreen protein, which was a powerful and sensitive tool to monitor live-cell proteasome activity, and an effective marker for in vitro migration assays modeling metastatic tumor invasion.
Like our other RCFPs, it has been modified for higher solubility, brighter emission, rapid chromophore maturation (8–12 hours) than the unmodified protein. It is an excellent reporter, and useful in two-color analyses with DsRed2, DsRed-Express, AsRed2, or HcRed1.
