Description

Thermo-Start polymerase is now available in a kit format that includes HPLC-purified dNTPs.

Thermo-Start Taq DNA Polymerase is engineered to provide maximum sensitivity and specificity for PCR. The enzyme remains completely inactive until switched-on by a high temperature incubation step at the start of the PCR reaction. This prevents non-specific amplification during reaction set-up, eliminating smearing and the formation of non-target bands.

This hot-start system also increases PCR efficiency by preventing amplification of primer dimers formed at low temperatures, preserving reaction components for template amplification.

A High Performance Buffer formulation is available to increase yield while still maintaining a highly sensitive and specific reaction. The High Performance Buffer works extremely well with complex and GC-rich templates.
