Luminescent Beta-Galactosidase Reporter System Luminescent Beta-Galactosidase Reporter System

Features & Benefits

  • Fast, simple assay for beta-galactosidase activity
  • Produces luminescent signals that are stable over several hours

Description

The Luminescent beta-galactosidase Reporter System 3 provides reagents for a sensitive chemiluminescent assay, as well as cloning vectors for the detection of beta-galactosidase activity. The reporter system vectors provide maximal flexibility in analyzing the effects of cis-regulatory elements on gene expression. The vectors can also be used to normalize transfection efficiencies across a range of transfection. For researchers who already have suitable beta-galactosidase vectors, the Luminescent beta-galactosidase Detection Kit II can be used to detect beta-galactosidase activity in any experiments that use lacZ as a reporter.

The chemiluminescent signal produced is stable over several hours and can be detected by a scintillation counter, tube and plate luminometers, or by x-ray film exposure.
