The pBI bidirectional expression vectors are designed to constitutively express a protein of interest and a reporter protein (or two proteins of interest) at similar levels. In the pBI bidirectional vectors, expression is driven by constitutively active human CMV promoter (PminCMV).
pBI-CMV1 allows the constitutive expression of two proteins of interest.
pBI-CMV2 allows you to express a protein of interest and AcGFP1, a monomeric green fluorescent protein.
pBI-CMV3 allows you to express a protein of interest and ZsGreen1, an extremely bright green fluorescent protein.
pBI-CMV4 allows you to express a protein of interest and DsRed2, a red fluorescent protein.
pBI-CMV5 is designed to constitutively express a protein of interest and the secreted chemiluminescent reporter, Metridia luciferase (MetLuc). When MetLuc is secreted into the surrounding medium, it is easily detected via a one-step reaction which is performed using the supernatant of transfected cells, without the need for cell lysis. pBI-CMV5 is sold with the Ready-To-Glow™ Secreted Luciferase Reporter Assay in the Bidirectional Secreted Luciferase System.
