Inducible Mammalian Expression
Tet Advanced Cell Lines
Tet-Advanced inducible cell lines are designed for use with Clontech’s tetracycline-inducible gene expression systems.
Create a Tet-Inducible Expression System for your gene of interest by placing it under control of a tetracycline-responsive promoter (e.g. TRE-Tight); transfecting it into one of these Tet cell lines; and selecting for double-stable clones.
Tet-On Advanced and Tet-Off Advanced double-stable clones induce expression of your gene of interest by up to several thousand-fold when using doxycycline (Dox) to control gene expression.
Full induction of genes expressed in the Tet-On Advanced System occurs at Dox concentrations generally 10-fold lower than in the original Tet-On System.
Expression of your gene of interest in a Tet-Off Advanced double-stable clonal cell line is induced in the absence of Dox.
Tet cell lines can save up to two months time in developing a complete Tet-controlled system expressing your gene of interest.
