Description

The Matchmaker Gold Yeast Two-Hybrid System is the only yeast two-hybrid system with four reporters and three independent promoters. It is also the only system with a novel reporter for resistance to the yeast antibiotic, Aureobasidin A. Background growth is not possible due to the potency and stability of Aureobasidin A. False positives are reduced to a minimum because the spurious activation of reporter genes would need to occur at 3 different recognition sequences and activate all 4 reporters to be scored positive.

Traditional yeast two-hybrid library construction and screening are time consuming processes. Not anymore. Clontech has developed a set of ready-to-go Mate & Plate™ Libraries that require simple coculturing of the pretransformed library with your bait-expressing reporter strain, followed by selection on appropriate minimal medium. Tissue-specific, normalized, and mixed-tissue libraries are available.
