Creatine/Creatine Kinase assay kits
- For quantitative determination of creatine in various sample types
- Use of 10 μL sample
- High sensitivity and wide linear range
- Simple “mix-and-measure” assay
- Results within 30-40 minutes
Creatine is present in vertebrates and helps to supply energy to muscle. In humans and animals, approximately half of creatine originates from food (mainly from fresh meat).
Assay Genie’ creatine assay is based on enzymatic reactions leading to formation of a pink colored product. The optical density at 570 nm or fluorescence intensity at Ex/Em = 530/585 nm is directly proportional to the creatine concentration in the sample.
The creatine kinase activity assay kit is based on enzyme coupled reactions to produce ultimately NADPh. The produced NADPH, measured at 340 nm, is proportionate to the CK activity in the sample.
