Beagle dog hepatocytes (TRL)
- Dog hepatocytes (Beagle)
- Fresh and cryopreserved formats
- High viability (>80%)
- Characterized for Phase I/II drug-metabolizing enzyme activity
- Characterized for plateability
Dog hepatocytes are isolated and characterized for viability, plateability (adherence to a collagen-coated surface), and general Phase I and Phase II drug metabolizing enzyme activities.
Dog hepatocytes from Beagle dogs are available in cryopreserved and fresh format. Fresh hepatocytes are also available plated in a monolayer.
Cryopreserved dog hepatocyes viability
Suspension qualified cryopreserved Beagle dog hepatocytes have post-thaw viabilities over 80%.
Plateable cryopreserved hepatocytes have post-thaw viabilities over 80%. Each lot can also be plated in a collagen-coated plate or similar. These lots are guaranteed to maintain a healthy monolayer (>85% confluency) for a minimum of 3 days in culture.
Fresh dog hepatocyes viability
Each lot of fresh Beagle dog hepatocytes is tested before release to ensure that hepatocytes are high viability. The fresh hepatocytes in suspension are at least 80% viable and plated hepatocyte monolayers are at least 85% confluent.
