Rat Aortic Smooth Muscle Cells (Clonetics™)
- Sprague Dawley rat AoSMCs
- >95% positive for alpha smooth muscle actin
- Characterized for viability, morphology and proliferative capacity
Clonetics™ rat aortic smooth muscle cells (R-AoSMCs) are isolated from the aorta of 150- 200 gram adult male Sprague-Dawley rats. The cells are prepared by standardized methods and are ready for immediate culture upon thawing.
The rat aortic smooth muscle cells are tested for purity by immunofluorescent staining and >95% confirmed to be positive for alpha smooth muscle actin and negative for VE cadherin. Cells are batch tested to display morphologic and growth properties equivalent to freshly prepared cells, and guaranteed to achieve 12 population doublings.
Routine characterization of R-ASM cells includes viability, morphology and proliferative capacity throughout serial passages.
