Exonuclease I (Takara)
- Highly specific for ssDNA
- No reaction with dsDNA or RNA
- Heat inactivated at 80°C for 15 minutes
E. coli Exonuclease I is a 3' to 5' exonuclease that can be used specifically for single-stranded DNA degradation, resulting in the production of 5'-phosphate mononucleotides from the 3'-hydroxyl termini of single-stranded DNA. Exonuclease I is highly specific for ssDNA and does not react with dsDNA or RNA. To inactivate Exonuclease I heat treatment of 80°C for 15 minutes is needed.
