Activated Phusion U Hot Start DNA polymerase
The Phusion U Hot Start DNA Polymerase is an enzyme that is combined with a reversibly bound, specific Affibody protein. Binding of the Affibody protein inhibits DNA polymerase and 3’-5’ exonuclease activities at ambient temperatures, which allows you easy pipetting. Moreover, usage of Phusion U Hot Start DNA Polymerase avoids nonspecific amplification and primer degradation.
When polymerase activity temperature is reached, the Affibody ligand is released, hereby activating the enzyme. Due to a proprietary mutation, Phusion U Hot Start DNA Polymerase is able to incorporate dUTP and read through uracil present in DNA templates. In combination with its great accuracy, speed, ability to amplify long amplicons and a high specificity with the Affibody based hot start, the enzyme is an excellent choice for amplification of bisulphite-converted or damaged DNA as well as use of carryover contamination control.

Phusion U Hot Start DNA Polymerase is also available in the Master Mix and Green formats. The 2X Phusion U Hot Start PCR Master Mix minimizes the number of pipetting steps.
The Phusion U Green formats are a combination of the enzyme and 5X Phusion Green Buffers that include a density reagent and two tracking dyes for direct loading of PCR products on a gel. The green color does not interfere with the performance of the enzyme.
