Room Temperature Hot Start PCR set-up
The Maxima Hot Start Taq DNA Polymerase is chemically modified in such a way that the enzyme is inactive at room temperature. Hereby, you avoid the extension of non-specifically annealed primers or primer dimers and you can easily pipet your PCR reaction at room temperature. You activate the enzyme by a short 4 minute incubation step at 95°C, prior to your PCR reaction. The activated enzyme maintains the same functionality as Taq DNA polymerase.

Ready-to-use PCR master mixes
For easy use, ready-to-use PCR Master MIxes including the Maxima Hot Start Taq DNA Polymerase are also available. Beside the enzyme, the Master mixes include hot start PCR buffer, dNTPs and Magnesium.These solutions will save you pipetting time.
For even more convenience, you can use the Maxima Hot Start Green PCR Master Mix. This mix also includes two tracking dyes and a density reagent that allows for direct loading of PCR products on a gel. The dyes in the master mix do not interfere with PCR performance.
